We really love incorporating fresh fruits into our morning meals whether it be peaches in our oats, sliced banana on waffles or berries in cold cereal. If you’re having brekky here, you can pretty much guarantee some sort of fruit to be in the mix.

We recently paired up with Seven Sundays and they gifted us a sampling of their muesli. Confession: I was a tad unclear about what muesli actually was and had to take to the googles to sort it all out. It’s similar to granola, but better. The Seven Sundays brand has no added sugars, preservatives, GMO’s or artificial anything. It’s the perfect paleo + vegan addition to the breakfast routine. They have a great variety of flavors as well.

We thought it might be delicious to use the Muesli as a topping on a smoothie bowl. Not to brag… we were SO right.

Smoothie bowls are such a great option for me because I tend to enjoy sweeter breakfasts and they always satisfy those cravings. It doesn’t hurt that they are pretty dang healthy as well. I’m sorry donuts, please don’t be upset. You know you’ll always be my favorite.

BERRY DELICIOUS SMOOTHIE BOWL

For the smoothie:

  • 1 c frozen blueberries

  • 1 c frozen cauliflower

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

  • 1 handful of spinach

  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds

  • 1/2 c plant milk

Mix all ingredients together in blender. Blend until smooth and frozen chunks have been broken down. Pour into a bowl and add toppings. Get crazy and creative with them…there is no right or wrong way to top off a smoothie bowl.

Some of our favorites are fresh berries, chia seeds, shaved coconut, granola or muesli (seven sundays, of course) and a honey or maple drizzle.
